Flock and Fiber Festival

On September 22-23, 2007 the Flock and Fiber Festival at the Clackamas County fairgrounds in Canby, OR is great fun. I enjoy getting to see and pet fiber producing animals without the hard work of owning them. Sheep, goats, rabbits, llamas and alpacas fill two barns. Angora rabbits are so soft to the touch. I love Romney sheep, they are colorful and fuzzy.

Three days of Workshops, Classes & Mini-Seminars Friday September 21, Saturday September 22 and Sunday September 23, 2007. Choose from needle felting, weaving, spinning, knitting and dyeing classes. You can sign up for a class up to 15 minutes before the class starts if the class isn’t full.

Over 40 venders are selling all sorts of animal fiber based items. Choose from hand spun and dyed yarn, fleeces, roving, drum carders, spinning wheels and weaving looms. You will find more than enough things to keep you busy and warm all winter. Food is available for purchase from the food venders.

Parking lot near main gate fiber sale Sunday September 23, 2007 from 9am to 11am. A good way to add to your fleece stash; pay $7.00 for 1-5 fleeces, $15 for 6 or more fleeces.
