Platform International Animation Film Festival

The Platform International Animation Film Festival is being held in Portland this week. We saw the screening of competition group five. I enjoyed watching the short films. Tyger and Sleeping with the Fishes were among my favorites. I liked how they show the puppeteers in Tyger. I liked the drawing of people in Sleeping with the Fishes. After the seeing the screening we joined a parade that marched over to PCNA to see animation installation art. It was great fun. A special screening of Snow white is tonight, followed by a street party in old town. The festival continues until Saturday June 30. There are showings of the winners on Sunday. Festival venue is at Portland center for the arts 1111 S. West Broadway. PNCA (Pacific Northwest College of Art) 1241 NW Johnson Street
