Waterfront Blues Festival July 7,2007

We have been having so much fun down at the Willamette river water front at the Blues festival. Last night the ground rumbled with the bass. The music has been great and varied. The nights warm and clear. Joan Armatrading was great Thursday evening. Friday Evening Kim Simmonds of Savoy Brown said that Portland was too nice to him, that he needed angst to have the Blues. It was crowd pleasing to have Eric Burdon sing House of the Rising Sun. Earlier in his set he added a lyric to we have to get out of here, saying we need to get out of Iraq. Today is a Zydeco Swamp romp. The Dirty Dozen Bras Band is on at 8pm. Admission is $8.
